Co-Lead Montessori Teacher (RECE Required)

Full-Time | Year-Round | Immediate Start Available

Join a school where educators truly enjoy teaching.

At Oakleigh Montessori, we believe childhood education should be calm, joyful, and filled with opportunities for independence, curiosity, and connection. Since opening our doors, we've built a warm and welcoming school community where children, families, and educators genuinely enjoy being together.

One of the things that makes Oakleigh special is our size. With just two thoughtfully prepared Montessori classrooms, Toddler and Casa, we've created a close-knit school community where children, families, and educators know one another by name and meaningful relationships flourish.

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and collaborative Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our team as a Co-Lead Montessori Teacher.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with children while contributing to a positive, collaborative school culture. Whether you already have Montessori experience or are eager to deepen your knowledge, you'll join a supportive team that values professionalism, kindness, and a genuine love of working with young children.

Depending on the successful candidate's qualifications and the operational needs of the school, this position may also include temporary leadership responsibilities supporting the day-to-day operation of the centre.

At Oakleigh, you'll have the opportunity to slow down, connect with children, and focus on quality over quantity in a thoughtfully prepared Montessori environment. Our classrooms are intentionally calm, organized, and respectful. Children are taught to care for their environment by completing one activity at a time and returning materials before choosing something new, creating a peaceful rhythm that allows both children and educators to thrive.

We believe that when educators feel respected, supported, and valued, children thrive—and we're committed to creating that kind of workplace every day.

Why Join Oakleigh Montessori?

We know there are many wonderful opportunities in early childhood education. Here's what makes Oakleigh special:

- Two thoughtfully prepared Montessori classrooms serving Toddler and Casa-aged children
- Small class sizes that allow educators to build meaningful relationships with every child
- A close-knit,

collaborative team where everyone knows one another and works together
- Consistent daytime hours with no evenings, split shifts, or unpredictable scheduling
- A beautiful, newly opened school with thoughtfully prepared Montessori classrooms, quality materials, and carefully selected furnishings
- Supportive leadership that values open communication, teamwork, and professional growth
- Strong relationships with our families and a welcoming school community
- Regular field trips and community outings throughout the year
- A spacious outdoor environment on more than one-third of an acre, featuring mature trees, natural shade, and a large playground that encourages exploration and discovery

If you're looking for a school where you can build meaningful relationships, be part of a supportive team, and make a genuine difference in the lives of children each day, we'd love to meet you.
