Hours of Work*: Monday - Friday; 8:45am -5:00pm

Position Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides health education and care within the scope of nursing practice. As a member of a client-centered interdisciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides care to individuals promoting wellness, prevention of disease and/or disability and the management of chronic diseases/conditions. The incumbent works as an advocate on behalf of the client to ensure the appropriate links/referrals to other human services that would enable the client to achieve their health goals.

Qualifications

Education

- Graduate of approved Licensed Practical Nurse education program
- Successful completion of Nursing Foot Care program recognized by the CLPNM.




- Must be a member in good standing with CLPNM

Skills, Expertise and Experience

- A minimum of three (3) years' experience working in an inner city community health setting
- Knowledge and Experience working with Students and/or Volunteers
- Current CPR Certification at Basic Rescuer Level
