We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented 1A Operator for dry bulk operations to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy equipment and machinery to handle dry bulk materials, ensuring smooth loading, unloading, and transportation processes. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high safety standards, optimizing operational efficiency, and supporting the overall success of our bulk cargo operations.

Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other machinery to load, unload, and move dry bulk materials with precision and safety.
- Manage freight handling processes, ensuring accurate movement and placement of cargo according to operational protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist with the preparation of shipping documentation and coordinate with logistics teams for timely deliveries.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Support automotive repair tasks related to equipment maintenance when necessary,
troubleshooting minor issues as they arise.
- Maintain accurate records of freight movements, equipment usage, and safety checks for reporting purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience operating forklifts and heavy machinery in a commercial or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures within bulk cargo operations.
- Familiarity with automotive repair or basic mechanical troubleshooting is a plus.
- Valid certification or licensing for forklift operation is required; additional certifications in heavy equipment operation are preferred.
- Experience with commercial driving or transportation logistics enhances your suitability for this role.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods while maintaining safety standards.
