Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled 309A Electrical Apprentice in their third or fourth year to join our dynamic team in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This paid apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to develop your electrical expertise through hands-on experience in commercial, industrial, and construction environments. As a key contributor, you will assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

- Assist licensed electricians with installing, wiring, and maintaining electrical systems across various construction sites and facilities.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to support project execution.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and low voltage testing equipment safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical components and systems to identify issues or potential hazards.
- Support the setup and disassembly of construction sites,



including organizing materials and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Help troubleshoot electrical problems by following schematics and technical instructions under supervision.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and work logs.

Requirements

- Currently enrolled in a recognized 309A Electrical Apprenticeship program with at least three years of completed training or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience working with industrial electrical systems is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints reading, low voltage systems, and construction environments.
- Solid understanding of safety procedures related to electrical work and construction sites.
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret schematics accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Valid driver’s license is an asset for travel between job sites.
