Mississauga Bus, Coach, & Truck Repairs Inc. (MBCT) is an innovative Canadian organization founded in 2002. Our 60,000 square foot service and repair facility in the GTA requires skilled staff to increase our existing workforce.
Opportunity: 310T Truck & Coach Journeyperson – Safety Inspections
As part of growth strategy and to better serve our distributors and customers, we are hiring a licensed 310T mechanic journeyperson technician to join our safety inspection.
Location: 6625 Kestrel Rd. Mississauga, Ontario.
Major Intersection: South of Courtneypark Dr E & Tomken Rd
Shift: Morning Shift, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Overtime possible, but not guaranteed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure that safety is the top priority in all activities performed;
· Assist with annual safety inspection of coaches and transit buses, and liaison with MTO regarding repair work.
· Notifies the Manager or Service Advisor of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time;
· Participates in manufacturer sponsored training programs, schools, and events;
· Become familiar with and complies with the company’s Health & Safety Policies.

Physical Demands:
· Lifting up to 50lbs;
· Standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time;
· Occasional bending or stooping;
· Exposure to exhaust, grease and shop noise.
Skills that would make you the preferential candidate:
· 310T journeyperson license is required;
· Experience working with minimal supervision;
· Experience with transit buses would be welcome, but not required;
· Use of computers. All of our employees are required to enter shop notes through computers;
· Experience using diagnostic software (Cummins, Detroit, Allison, ect.) an asset;
· Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract;
· Must have own set of tools;
· Ability to work autonomously, adapt to different situations and manage stress;
· Demonstrate good teamwork skills and maintain positive interactions with others;
· Valuable verbal, reading comprehension and writing skills;
· Knowledge of first aid, WHMIS, or Kaizen/Lean would be beneficial.
