3rd-Year Apprentice or Journeyman Welder/Fitter

Reliable Welding in Nisku, Alberta

Reliable Welding is seeking an experienced 3rd-Year Apprentice or Journeyman Welder with strong fitting and fabrication skills.

This position is best suited to someone who can read drawings, lay out work accurately, fit components independently, and solve problems without needing constant direction. Strong fitting ability is essential.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications
- Lay out, measure, cut, prepare, and fit steel components
- Fit structural steel, pipe, oilfield equipment, pilings, and custom-fabricated assemblies
- Complete welding and fabrication work accurately and efficiently
- Identify fitting or drawing issues before they become costly rework
- Work independently and collaborate with other shop employees
- Maintain safe work practices in an active fabrication environment

Qualifications
- Registered 3rd-Year Welding Apprentice or Journeyman Welder
- Strong fitting, layout, measurement, and fabrication skills
- Ability to read and work from drawings
- Experience with structural steel, heavy fabrication, pipe, or oilfield equipment is an asset




- Able to use common fabrication tools and equipment safely
- Dependable, practical, and comfortable solving problems
- CWB tickets are an asset but are not required to apply
