Role Description As a Tutor at MNTR, you will provide remote, part time academic support to students through one-on-one and small group sessions. You will explain complex concepts clearly, guide students through practice problems, and help them develop effective study methods and exam preparation strategies. On a day-to-day basis, you will schedule sessions, prepare tailored lesson plans and materials, track student progress, and provide constructive feedback.

You will collaborate with other MNTR mentors to share best practices and align your approach with the MNTR high-performance framework.



The role involves communicating with students and, when needed, coordinating with the MNTR team to ensure consistent, high-quality support.

Qualifications

Strong subject-matter expertise in your tutoring domains (e.g., sciences, math, languages, or other relevant academic areas).

Demonstrated ability to explain concepts clearly, adapt teaching styles to different learners, and support diverse learning needs.

Excellent communication skills, including active listening, clear written and verbal communication, and professional online etiquette.

Solid organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to plan lessons, manage schedules, and track student progress.

Comfort with remote work and digital tools (video conferencing platforms, collaborative documents, learning management systems).

Experience in tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or academic coaching is strongly beneficial.

Commitment to a student-centered, inclusive approach and to fostering motivation, resilience, and high performance.

Enrollment in or completion of a university program; medical or health sciences studies are an asset given MNTR’s focus.
