About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing software company, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their finance team. This individual will play a key role in supporting the accounting function while partnering with leadership to improve financial processes and drive operational excellence.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional with strong general ledger experience, NetSuite expertise, and a background in subscription-based businesses. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a cooperative, fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate financial reporting while helping improve accounting operations.

Responsibilities

- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and account analyses
- Maintain and reconcile fixed asset, lease, and intangible asset schedules
- Ensure financial reporting is accurate and compliant with U.S. GAAP and internal controls
- Support ongoing enhancements to financial systems, reporting, and accounting processes




- Review accounting data and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance and other business teams to support operational initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed

Qualifications

- 5+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience
- CPA (Canada or U.S.) preferred
- Hands-on NetSuite ERP experience is required
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience within a SaaS or subscription-based business, including deferred revenue and revenue recognition
- Experience supporting ERP enhancements, finance systems, or process improvement initiatives is preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
