Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our finance team. In this vital role, you will oversee all accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain efficient financial processes. Your expertise will help us uphold our standards of excellence while supporting the company’s growth and stability.

Responsibilities

- Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger.
- Supervise, mentor, and support the accounting team.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes and prepare financial statements and management reports.
- Oversee insurer trust accounting, Lloyd's premium accounting, commission payments, and insurer payables/receivables.
- Monitor accounting workflows,



investigate discrepancies, and ensure accurate financial records.
- Process electronic payments, cheque deposits, expense claims, and corporate credit card reconciliations.
- Develop and improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and workflow efficiency.
- Support budgeting, financial analysis, and business decision-making.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, financial institutions, and government agencies as required.
- Liaise with our broker management systems provider on resolving and improving current accounting function capabilities

Requirements

- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including:

At least 2–3 years in a leadership or supervisory role; and

5+ years of overseeing accounting systems/software operations

5+ years of independently managing the full accounting cycle.

- Strong understanding of Canadian accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong systems aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new software and improve accounting processes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English. Mandarin or Cantonese required.
