Job Overview

Quality Analytical Services Ltd (QAS) is looking to hire an Admin Assistant to join our team. We are looking for a reliable team player who can demonstrate strong attention to detail while working under pressure. This will initially be a 6hr per weekday role, with a probation period of 3 months.

Responsibilities

- Receive or collect samples using company vehicle
- Book in samples into LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)
- Weighing of samples
- Enter results into LIMS, prepare reports, Quality checks, emailing results
- General Lab requirements, include cleaning and any other ad hoc requirements
- Practice safe work habits, including complying with all health & safety policies
- Support other lab functions e.g. sample preparation, when necessary.
- Assist customers with information requests on tests in progress and results

Qualifications:
- High school diploma required.
- High level of English reading, writing & speaking required.
- No prior lab experience needed as full training will be provided
- Computer skills a must, including a knowledge of Microsoft Office




- ISO knowledge beneficial

Requirements:
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent customer communication skills.
- Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Capable of following written instructions/ procedures and work under pressure
- Willing to work longer if needed.
- Ability to perform physical work, must be able to pick up 50lbs.
- Current police background check.
- Class 5 Drivers licence. Clean driving record.

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
