Join Canadian Blood Services as an Analytical Development Scientist I in Vancouver. This onsite role focuses on analytical assay development and testing in blood product development. As part of the Network Centre for Applied Development (NetCAD) team, you will contribute to the analytical testing efforts for blood components.
Your responsibilities will include conducting lab assays, analyzing data, and supporting product development initiatives. Collaborating with development scientists, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficacy of assays used in product characterization. Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize and characterize analytical assays for blood products
- Conduct complex laboratory assays with meticulous documentation
- Support development studies through data collection and analysis
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during assay development
- Prepare scientific documentation, including standard operating procedures Requirements:
- PhD or Master's with 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of blood products and analytical techniques
- Experience with flow cytometry, ELISA, or enzymatic assays
- Excellent communication skills for scientific presentations
