Hiring: Apigee API Engineer / Apigee Developer

Long-Term Contract

We're looking for an experienced Apigee API Engineer / Apigee Developer to join our team and help design, develop, and secure enterprise API solutions. If you have hands-on experience with Apigee Edge/X/Hybrid, API Security, CI/CD, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) , we'd love to hear from you!

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Duration: Long-Term Contract

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and deploy Apigee API Proxies for enterprise applications.
- Build reusable custom policies using JavaScript, Java callouts, and Python for authentication, authorization, validation, transformation, and error handling.
- Develop and maintain Shared Flows for security, logging, rate limiting, CORS, and fault handling.
- Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys, SAML, mTLS, and HMAC .
- Configure traffic management policies including Spike Arrest, Quota, Rate Limiting, and Caching .
- Develop mediation and transformation logic using AssignMessage, ExtractVariables, ServiceCallout, JSON/XML transformations, XSLT, and RaiseFault policies.
- Manage KVMs, Target Servers, Keystores, Truststores, and Workplace Configurations for Apigee Hybrid.
- Build and automate CI/CD pipelines using Apigee CLI, Maven Plugin, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Cloud Build, or ArgoCD .
- Create and maintain automated API tests using Postman/Newman, apickli, apigeelint, and JMeter .
- Troubleshoot API deployments and runtime issues using Apigee Trace/Debug ,



Kubernetes logs, and Hybrid diagnostics.
- Configure monitoring, analytics, and logging using Splunk, Dynatrace , or similar monitoring platforms.
- Maintain API documentation, shared flow libraries, and API governance standards.

Required Skills

- 3–6 years of hands-on experience with Apigee Edge, Apigee X, or Apigee Hybrid .
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript and Java .
- Experience with Python and XSLT is a plus.
