Art Instructor - Drawing & Painting Art for Life 4 Kids is a well-established art academy in Burlington dedicated to inspiring creativity and building strong artistic foundations in children and teens. We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and dependable art instructor who enjoys mentoring young artists and helping them discover their creative potential. The ideal candidate is a skilled traditional artist with excellent drawing and painting abilities, a positive attitude, and a genuine enthusiasm for working with children.

More than simply teaching projects, you'll inspire students, encourage creativity, and help them develop observation, technique, and confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for art. Responsibilities

- Teach engaging drawing and painting classes for children and teens in a fun, structured, and supportive workplace.
- Demonstrate artistic techniques step by step while encouraging creativity and individual expression.
- Adapt instruction to accommodate different ages, abilities, and learning styles.
- Help students develop strong skills in drawing, painting, observation, composition, and creative problem-solving.
- Provide positive, constructive feedback that builds confidence and encourages artistic growth.
- Prepare classroom materials before each class and assist with cleanup afterward.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and inspiring studio environment.
- Build positive relationships with students and create a welcoming, respectful classroom atmosphere.




- Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress when appropriate.
- Assist with student artwork displays, exhibitions, special workshops, camps, and studio events.

Skills and Qualifications

- Strong traditional drawing and painting skills are required.
- A portfolio demonstrating your artistic abilities is required.
- Experience teaching, coaching, or mentoring children is a strong asset.
- A degree or diploma in Fine Arts, Animation, Illustration, Art Education, or a related field is an asset.
- Warm, patient, dependable, and enthusiastic personality.
- Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to provide clear demonstrations and positive, constructive feedback.
- Comfortable working with children and teens of different ages and skill levels.
- Available to work weekday evenings and/or Saturdays.
