Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Manager to join our retail team. In this energetic role, you will support store operations, lead sales initiatives, and ensure exceptional customer service. Your leadership will drive team performance, optimize merchandising strategies, and uphold store standards.

Duties

- Assist in managing daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies
- Lead and supervise team members, providing coaching, training, and development to foster a high-performance environment
- Oversee sales activities, implement marketing strategies, and drive sales growth through effective merchandising and customer engagement
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, ensuring excellent service and resolving issues promptly
- Manage inventory purchasing, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to maximize profitability
- Support payroll processing, cash handling procedures, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
- Coordinate recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding recent staff members
- Utilize POS (Point of Sale)



systems for transactions and sales tracking while maintaining efficient cashiering operations
- Monitor store budgets, perform basic math calculations for pricing and sales analysis, and manage organizational tasks efficiently
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards while maintaining a welcoming store environment

Qualifications

- Proven supervising or team management experience within a retail setting
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate others and foster teamwork
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Demonstrated expertise in retail sales, merchandising, pricing, and marketing strategies
- Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling, and administrative tasks
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently using time management techniques
- Knowledge of POS systems, purchasing procedures, and store management software
- Ability to handle negotiations confidently with vendors or suppliers when necessary
- Strong leadership qualities combined with patience and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with recruiting processes including interviewing and training new employees
