The Pacific Autism Family Network is seeking a qualified Assistant Programs Manager to start immediately.

Overview

Reporting to the PAFN Senior Leadership and to the Board of Directors, the Programs Manager is focused on fulfilling organizational mandate and mission through program delivery.

At present, the Assistant Program Manager will have the responsibility for administration, oversight, and ensuring effectiveness of our JET Program.

As this position operates with a high degree of autonomy, we expect you to be a self-starter who likes to address problems before they become problems.

Detailed Description

Organizational Strategy and Direction

- Participates in the development and implementation of PAFN JET Program planning
- Works with leadership team in developing and implementing strategic mission;
- Works with leadership team to leverage internal capacity to meet PAFN mission and mandate;
- Seeks out, manages, and reports on program grants and sustainment funds;
- Provides program metrics and quality reporting measures to Leadership as necessary.

Partnership Development & Stewardship:

- Represents PAFN as required at community forums, tables and networks;
- Collaborates with partners to enhance service delivery, foster innovation and bring about systemic and impactful change within the ASD community;
- Seeks to develop PAFN standing within the ASD community at both local and national tables;
- Liaisons with community funding bodies/providers to enhance and direct programming as described, including negotiation and re-evaluation of ongoing and new funding bodies.





Program Development and Delivery: (as applies to JET program)

- Responds to emerging community issues and gaps in services to implement quality and relevant suite of programs and services within PAFN guidelines;
- Programs are delivered with a backbone of strong financial oversight and human resources management;
- Researches and applies for grant funding and other avenues of financial support to pilot and sustain program development and delivery;
- Maintains and coordinates reporting metrics for PAFN JET Programming;
- Provides financial oversight and budgeting for program delivery;
- Ensures PAFN resources are used responsibly and at maximum value add.

Experience and Requirements The Assistant Manager has many roles and responsibilities. The employee must be able to approach all activities with a high sense of professionalism, dedication to the organization’s values and with a strong understanding of the community landscape. Specific requirements of the role are:

- Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial attitude;
- Solid relationship building skills;
- Ability to navigate politically sensitive situations;




- Ability to independently manage budget and grant requirements of federal and provincial programming;
- Experience and high level of understanding in the autism community, related to relevant issues and research;
- Strong leadership and HR management skills;
- Experience working with and supporting people with various abilities;
- Experience developing and leading large scale projects; and
- Experience with the social enterprise and impact business sector.
- Prior experience working with CARF Accreditation process a plus
- Prior experience with public funding bodies (CLBC)
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada;
- Must reside in the BC Lower Mainland area.

Schedule

- 8 hour shift

Please note this is not a hybrid work environment and all hours worked will be done in office on site at PAFN or at event if required.

Experience

- Autism Community, related to relevant issues and research: 3 years (Preferred)
- Budget & grant requirements management: 1 year (Preferred)
- leadership and HR management skills: 2 years (Preferred)
- public funding bodies (CLBC): 1 year (Preferred)
- social enterprise and impact business sector: 2 years (Preferred)
- working with and supporting people with various abilities: 2 years (Preferred)

Job Types: Full time, Permanent Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
