The role includes providing strategic and practical legal advice to the Company’s Executive Team and senior management, overseeing litigation matters, advising on proposed business objectives, and supervising outside counsel. The Department’s Legal Counsel, together with a Senior Law Clerk and a Legal Assistant, report to the Associate General Counsel.HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACTProviding strategic legal advice to Executives and senior leadership on business initiatives, risk management, and regulatory compliance.Supporting all business areas of the Company on a broad range of legal issues including corporate law, commercial law, marketing & advertising, intellectual property, technology, privacy, employment, regulatory and compliance, and competition law.Identifying legal and regulatory risks and developing proactive and creative mitigation strategies.Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies across business units.Managing corporate/commercial legal matters,



including the preparation, negotiation, and management of the Company’s agreements.Overseeing litigation matters, managing external counsel, and developing case strategy.Supporting data protection and cybersecurity legal obligations.Developing and implementing internal compliance programs, training, and policies.Managing the Department’s budget while considering performance oversight and cost control.Providing advice and legal services regarding the Company’s dealer network.Collaborating with global and regional legal teams on shared legal strategies and risk alignment.Promoting a culture of compliance, ethics, and business‑aligned legal support.WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLECompletion of an undergraduate degree, LL.B. or J.D., and be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario or an equivalent combination of experience and education.8–10+ years of relevant experience in the same or a similar function.Excellent working knowledge of corporate/commercial law.High degree of critical thinking, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.Sharp and practical business acumen.Demonstrated attention to detail.Able to work and think collaboratively.Creative innovator.Self‑starter capable of managing many matters simultaneously.Bilingualism (English/French)

This posting is for an existing vacancy.Hiring Range: $142,500 – $190,000The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.Starting salary is typically offered in the lower to mid portion of the range, with placement determined by the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and internal equity considerations.
