Responsibilities
- Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, accurately processing customer orders and payments
- Handle cash transactions with precision and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, assisting with basic food preparation tasks
- Serve customers efficiently, providing friendly and attentive customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations
- Assist with food handling duties, including stocking supplies and organizing kitchen stations
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and order accuracy
- Follow all food safety protocols, including proper sanitation, storage, and handling of ingredients
Skills
- Experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred, including familiarity with Micros POS systems
- Strong cashiering skills with attention to accuracy in cash handling and basic math calculations
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen experience is a plus, including food preparation and handling skills
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
