Full + Part-Time | Morning & Weekend Availability Required The Hidden Gem is looking for a talented Baker / all-rounder to join our cozy little corner of the world.

We’re first and foremost a from-scratch bakery. This role is primarily baking-focused, but we’re looking for someone who can also step behind the espresso bar (or is genuinely excited to learn).

If you love early mornings, butter, beautiful latte foam, and being part of a tight-knit team — you might be our person.

NOTE: Please apply only if you have relevant baking experience and are highly capable in a fast-paced, back of house position. The successful applicant will have excellent critical thinking, autonomy, and attention to detail. Applicants without baking experience in their work history will kindly not be considered for this position. Thank you!

What You’ll Be Doing

Baking (Primary Focus):

- Preparing and baking cookies, cakes, bars, buns, and other scratch-made goods
- Following and executing recipes with precision and consistency
- Custom cake prep and finishing
- Managing prep lists and ensuring product levels are ready for service
- Maintaining a clean, organized BOH space

Barista & Front Support:

- Making espresso drinks to standard (training provided if needed)
- Greeting guests warmly and creating a memorable experience
- Supporting with POS, packaging, and display restocking
- Helping maintain the beauty and cleanliness of the café

- Have commercial baking experience (required)
- Care deeply about quality and presentation
- Work well independently and stay calm under pressure
- Are organized, effective, and self-motivated
- Are willing to learn espresso (if not already experienced)
- Thrive in early mornings (start times as early as 6am)
