Barista at Purrfect Cafe

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Barista to join our team. In this role, you will be the heart of our coffee service, creating delicious drinks and providing warm hospitality in our one-of-a-kind setting, with the cafe overlooking a separated cat lounge. The ideal candidate is a dedicated coffee qualified who also enjoys working in the cheerful, relaxed ambiance that our cat companions provide.

Key Responsibilities

- Craft high-quality espresso beverages, tea, and other cafe drinks with precision and care
- Provide exceptional, engaging customer service at the counter and register
- Operate POS system efficiently and handle transactions accurately
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization in all food and beverage preparation areas
- Follow all health code standards for food handling and sanitation
- Prepare and serve pastries and light cafe fare
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented atmosphere that aligns with our cafe's welcoming vibe
- Complete opening and closing procedures for the cafe service area

Who You Are:




- A barista with experience in coffee preparation and customer service
- Someone comfortable and content working in an environment with cats (allergies should be considered)
- A team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask during busy periods
- Familiar with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Knowledgeable about food safety standards
- Reliable, punctual, and professional

License/Certification
- Food Handler Certificate (preferred)
