Boulevard, Ottawa ON Canada Aviation and Space Museum, 11 Aviation Parkway, Ottawa ON SUMMARY OF DUTIES The Boutique Salesperson provides friendly, courteous and efficient customer service to all the museum’s boutique visitors. They set up and maintain attractive displays, processes all boutique sales, provide store housekeeping, and complete all merchandising tasks (receiving, replenishment, and pricing). As the position acts as the last point of contact for many museum visitors, the Boutique Salesperson take on the role of ambassadors for the corporation by presenting it as a dynamic cultural institution.
As such,
they ensure that the visitor ends off on a positive note in accordance with the Corporation’s mission and mandate.
EDUCATION Successful completion of secondary school.
Post-secondary education is an asset.
EXPERIENCE Working as a cashier; Working in a retail setting; Working in a role that requires buyer motivation; Proven excellent customer service background; Working with computer-based systems (cash registers, POS, etc) KNOWLEDGE Precise accuracy with counting skills; Strong communication skills in both official languages (English & French); General knowledge of the museum’s collection and programs.
