Duties

- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, windows, restrooms, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies. Maintain cleanliness of surfaces by dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting high-touch areas to promote hygiene and safety. Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and trash bags to ensure continuous availability for staff and visitors.



Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure all areas meet health and safety standards. Handle waste disposal responsibly by emptying trash bins and recycling containers regularly. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to supervisors for quick resolution. Adhere to health regulations and safety protocols during all cleaning activities. Accurately complete time sheets and any required service confirmation logs for assigned shifts.

Qualifications
- Prior custodial or cleaning experience is preferred, especially in commercial or institutional settings. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment and chemicals. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work. Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts. Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for maintaining cleanliness standards. Nice-to-have: experience with commercial cleaning services or custodial roles in similar environments. Reliability Status security clearance may be required for institutional or government facility assignments (Maison Pacome will support the application process). Legally entitled to work in Canada.





Schedule & Pay Structure
- This is a part-time position with a regular weekly shift schedule, assigned based on client site needs. Employees are paid hourly through payroll (T4), with standard statutory deductions. Ontario's three-hour rule applies: if scheduled for a shift and given fewer than three hours of work, the employee is paid a minimum of three hours at their regular rate. Vacation pay (4%) accrues per pay period in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act. Overtime is paid at 1.5x the regular rate for hours worked beyond 44 in a work week, where applicable. As business volume grows, high-performing part time employees may be offered a fixed-term or permanent employment contract with increased or guaranteed hours.
