About Us

Eagle Vision Institute is a busy ophthalmology practice dedicated to providing exceptional eye care in a professional, patient-focused workplace. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Clinical Assistant / Lane Loader to join our team and support both clinical operations and front desk workflow.

Position Summary The Clinical Assistant / Lane Loader plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily clinic operations by supporting physicians, technicians, and front desk staff. This role involves preparing and organizing patient lanes, assisting with clinical setup, supporting patient flow, and performing essential administrative, clinical, and inventory-related tasks.

The Clinical

Assistant supports technicians and physicians with clinic flow, including lane loading, patient intake and workups, and diagnostic testing as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical / Lane Support

- Load patients into clinical lanes for physicians and technicians
- Prepare intravitreal injection kits and ensure proper setup
- Load patient charts, diagnostic images, and results for physicians
- Assist with patient flow, ensuring efficient and timely appointments
- Support technicians with clinical setup and room turnover

Diagnostic & Technical Support (as needed)

- Assist with preparation and organization of diagnostic testing areas
- Ensure equipment and testing rooms are properly stocked and ready for use

Administrative & Front Desk Support

- Support front desk staff with patient intake and general reception duties as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records in Oscar EMR
- Handle incoming faxes, emails, and clinical documentation




- Assist with scheduling, patient coordination, and communication with clinical staff
- Communicate with local optometry offices in a professional and timely manner
- Collect payments and issue receipts when applicable
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow privacy regulations

Inventory & Clinic Operations

- Maintain clinic inventory and restock supplies as required
- Ensure exam rooms, injection rooms, and clinical areas are properly stocked
- Support opening and closing procedures of the clinic
- Maintain clean, organized, and efficient work areas

Qualifications

- Previous experience in a medical, ophthalmology, or optometry setting preferred
- Experience in a clinical support or ophthalmic assistant role is an asset
- Strong ability to communicate with patients in a respectful, kind, and patient manner
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficiency with computers, EMR systems (Oscar preferred), and scheduling tools
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Professional demeanor with strong attention to detail

Preferred Skills

- Knowledge of medical or ophthalmic terminology
- Experience with ophthalmic clinic flow and patient management
- Experience assisting with injections or minor procedure setups is an asset
- Ability to speak additional languages is an asset

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
