ABOUT THE ROLE – CLINICAL & DISPENSING AUDIOLOGIST or HEARING INSTRUMENT SPECIALIST
We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical and Dispensing Audiologist or Hearing Instrument Specialist to join our amazing Team! Our clinic focuses on patient-centered care and the well-being of our clientele.
Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive hearing assessments and diagnostic testing for all ages (including OAEs and dedicated protocols for cognitive and hidden hearing loss assessments - where applicable)
o For private clientele, third-party clientele o ENT/Audiology clinics
- Prescribe, dispense and fit hearing devices and assistive listening devices
- Perform hearing aid maintenance checks and verification
- Dispense and fit custom and non-custom earplugs (swim plugs, hearing protection, sleeping plugs, communication)
- Provide appropriate counselling and education to individuals with hearing loss and their families to reduce communication problems and facilitate adjustments to hearing loss
- Community outreach and social media
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
- Strong counselling and relationship building skills
- Ability to work in a group and independently, with effective time management
- Compassionate approach to hearing health care
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
- Professional attitude
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Audiology from a recognized, accredited program. Will consider HIS Diploma
- Minimum 2 year clinical experience
- Licensed by ACSLPA or CHAPA
