The North End Community Health
Centre is seeking a dedicated Masters of Social Work professional to enhance its Overlook Supportive Housing program. This role emphasizes culturally responsive interventions, behavioral assessments, and psychotherapeutic methods tailored to the unique needs of marginalized populations. Collaborate within an interprofessional team to deliver equitable care while addressing systemic injustices in health and housing. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized case management and assessments for residents
- Implement culturally responsive interventions within a team context
- Design and facilitate therapeutic group sessions and educational workshops
- Collaborate with housing teams to ensure comprehensive resident support
- Offer crisis intervention and de-escalation support as required Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
- Registered with Nova Scotia College of Social Workers
- 2+ years of relevant social work experience
- Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities like CBT and DBT
