Role Description The Commercial Real Estate Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. This role is responsible for underwriting potential acquisitions and lease deals, building and maintaining detailed financial models, and supporting investment decisions with rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis. The analyst will conduct market research, analyze property performance, and perform due diligence on assets, tenants, and comparable transactions.

Day-to-day tasks include preparing investment memos, tracking portfolio metrics, assisting with financing and refinancing activities, and collaborating with asset management and leasing teams to optimize property performance.



The role also involves producing clear reporting and presentations for senior leadership, helping drive data-informed strategies across the portfolio.

Qualifications

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets, market trends, and portfolio performance indicators.

Proficiency in financial modeling and cash flow analysis, including Excel-based models for acquisitions, leasing scenarios, and refinancing.

Experience in due diligence processes, including review of leases, financial statements, operating expenses, and property-level documentation.

Foundational knowledge of finance and real estate investment concepts, including underwriting income-producing commercial assets.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, business, or a related field; advanced coursework or certifications in real estate or financial analysis are an asset.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present analysis and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and industry research tools;

experience with ARGUS or similar real estate software is an advantage.

Ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams and maintain a high level of skilled integrity and discretion.
