Overview Bayshore Home Care Solutions, Kitchener Branch, seeks an Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. This position offers flexible scheduling across the Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, and Wellington County areas. Candidates may work as a casual employee, independent contractor, or permanent employee.
Position Details Schedule: Monday‑Friday, weekends or a combination of both. Hours and travel will be coordinated with the Clinical Manager – Branch level.
Compensation: Employee – $77.50 per visit (includes sick, vacation, RRSP, health benefits).
Independent
Contractor – $87.50 per visit.
Clinical
Responsibilities - Assess clients, establish and revise treatment programs, including goals and discharge plans.
- Maintain accurate clinical records per College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario standards.
- Document assessment results, goals, treatments, client progress, and discharge plans.
- Collaborate with other health team members as needed.
- Communicate pertinent information and recommendations to clients/care providers and provide education regarding treatment strategies.
- Observe and provide guidance to assistants in the Occupational Therapy program.
- Handle referrals for service and manage clients requiring social work intervention.
Other
Responsibilities - Maintain active standing in the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
- Participate in ongoing internal and external education activities.
- Adhere to Bayshore Therapy & Rehab policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in proactive health & safety activities; report risks or concerns to the supervisor.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information.
Education & Qualifications - Master's Degree or recognized equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Registered and in valuable standing with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists.
- One year of occupational therapy service experience, especially in‑home assessments and treatments, is an asset.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
