Le concepteur est amené à faire de la conception et de la modélisation 2D de pièces et/ou d’assemblage, de l’analyse à la résolution de problème reliés à la production. De plus, il produit le dessin 2D à partir du modèle 3D en respectant les normes de dessin technique du client ou de Sogeclair. The designer is responsible for the 2D design and modeling of parts and/or assemblies, as well as for analyzing and resolving production-related issues.
In addition, the designer creates 2D drawings from 3D models in accordance with the client’s or Sogeclair’s technical drawing standards.
Responsibilities - Design parts or assemblies according to customer requirements and in accordance with customer and industry standards.
- Modify or create 3D models of parts or assemblies.
- Develop and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications for various parts or assemblies.
- Revise and incorporate changes into technical drawings.
- Standardize 3D models and drawings in accordance with customer and industry standards.
- Analyze submitted change requests.
- Research documentation on technical specifications when not provided by the customer.
- Identify root causes and resolve problems.
- Provide technical support to production and engineering.
- Draft quality procedures.
- Verify assembly manuals.
- Conduct research and development.
- Share technical knowledge with team members.
- Assist with bids.
- Assist with workload planning.
- Understand the requirements of AS 9100 standards related to the responsibilities of this position.
- Follow the company’s QMS procedures and apply the tools provided therein when performing tasks.
- Perform any other related duties.

Qualifications - 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- DEC in aerospace construction or mechanical engineering.
- Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing sector is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in first-article inspection processes.
- Proficiency in design and modeling software (CATIA V5 and 3DVia).
- Proficiency in Material Resource Planning (MRP) software, such as SAP and BaaN.
- Knowledge of Mentor Graphics or Corel Draw is a plus.
- Knowledge of design software (AutoCAD, Smarteam, Enovia, and MBOM) is a plus.
