Job Posting: General Construction Labourer – Site C Project

About the Chance:

We are seeking motivated and reliable General Construction Labourers to join our team on the Site C Project in Fort St. John, BC. This is an excellent opportunity for local candidates with general labour or construction experience to contribute to a major infrastructure project in the region.

The work is shift work with 11 hour days – 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off rotations. Day shift and Night Shift will alternate between each rotation. Locals might have opportunity for a different shift schedule than the 14 on/off rotation.

Key Responsibilities:

- This will involve significant physical labour including shovelling and lifting.
- Perform general construction tasks, including site preparation, material handling, and cleanup.
- Hang Wire Mesh / Handling shotcrete rebound
- Assist skilled tradespeople with various construction activities.
- Operate basic tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Support project tasks as directed by supervisors.

Requirements:

- Previous experience in construction or general labour work.




- Ability to pass a mandatory drug and alcohol test prior to hiring.
- Physically fit and able to perform demanding tasks in various temperature conditions.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and ability to work in a team.
- Valid safety certifications (e.g., CSTS, WHMIS) are an asset but not mandatory.
- Preference will be given to residents of Fort St. John, BC, or surrounding area.

· Ability to operate a skidsteer or telehandler is desired.
