Position Overview

Evermore Group is seeking a dependable and hardworking Construction Labourer to support our growing team on a variety of residential and commercial construction, renovation and property maintenance projects.

The successful candidate will assist skilled tradespeople, subcontractors and project supervisors with both interior and exterior work. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, is comfortable performing physical tasks and is interested in developing their construction skills.

Projects may include renovations, demolition, painting, drywall, landscaping, exterior repairs, property maintenance and general labour. There is opportunity for increased responsibility and advancement for the right individual.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Assist with residential and commercial construction, renovation and maintenance projects.
- Load, unload and transport construction materials, tools and equipment.
- Prepare job sites by setting up work areas, protecting surfaces and organizing materials.
- Complete light demolition and properly remove construction debris.
- Assist with drywall, painting, flooring, siding, fencing, landscaping and other general construction tasks.
- Support skilled tradespeople and subcontractors as directed.
- Perform site cleanup throughout the project and at the end of each workday.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and responsibly.
- Move materials and equipment around the job site.
- Assist with measuring, cutting, assembling and installing materials when instructed.
- Follow project plans, supervisor instructions and company procedures.
- Maintain clean, organized and safe work areas.




- Follow all workplace health and safety requirements.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
- Report damaged tools, unsafe conditions or job-site concerns to the supervisor.
- Treat clients, tenants, coworkers and subcontractors professionally and respectfully.
- Complete additional construction and property maintenance duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous construction or general labour experience is considered an asset but is not required.
- Must be dependable, punctual and willing to learn.
- Able to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physically capable of lifting materials, using tools and completing repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing quality work.
- Must maintain a professional attitude while working at occupied residential and commercial properties.
- Reliable transportation is an asset; transportation may be available depending on the project location.
- Valid driver’s licence is considered an asset.
- Basic personal protective equipment and construction workwear may be required.

Work Environment The position involves working at various project locations throughout Calgary, Rocky View County, Mountain View County and surrounding communities. Pay: From $25.00 per hour
