Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors and labor to ensure project timelines are met.
- Review blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure workmanship meets industry standards.
- Complete essential administrative functions, including weekly project status updates, managing Requests for Information (RFIs) and Site Instructions (SIs), and maintaining daily reports on staffing, site progress, safety issues, and material deliveries.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore for project tracking and documentation.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on best practices in construction processes.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to the Occupational Health & Safety Act and related regulations to protect all team members.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned, including actively participating in construction activities such as carpentry, drywall installation, demolition, and more.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of construction or carpentry experience is required, demonstrating hands-on expertise in the field.
- Quality Control: Familiarity with quality control measures in the construction industry.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in supervising construction teams and effectively managing multiple tasks to drive project success.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of architectural and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) drawings to ensure accurate project execution.
- Licensing: Valid Class G driver’s license is required, along with a clean driver abstract to facilitate project-related travel.
- Tech Savvy: Experience with construction management software is a valuable asset, enhancing project efficiency and communication.
