Okanagan Civil Constructors is currently seeking experienced applicants for a Civil Construction Surveyor in the Okanagan region, with extensive knowledge and experience in layout, topo's, machine control set up, and AutoCAD experience.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surveyor to support precise grading and layout for sewer, water, conduit, and roadwork installations. This position plays a key role in ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency in all stages of civil construction. The ideal candidate has strong survey knowledge, field experience, and is proficient with Topcon equipment and AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities:

- Set up and operate Topcon survey and GPS equipment for construction layout
- Establish and verify lines, grades, and elevations for underground utilities and civil works
- Perform as-built and topographic surveys; prepare accurate field data, notes, charts, and maps
- Read, interpret, and analyze engineering drawings and produce accurate as-built drawings
- Collaborate with foremen and site supervisors to streamline project workflow
- Conduct backfilling and prep for curbs, sidewalks, and road construction
- Monitor site safety and report any issues promptly
- Maintain and calibrate survey instruments for optimal accuracy

Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years of experience in sewer, water, excavations or related fieldwork
- Proficient with Topcon survey gear, software, and machine grade control systems
- AutoCAD experience and the ability to prepare and interpret as-builts




- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel to various job sites
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and procedures
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
