We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to safety protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties when necessary, including handling patient inquiries.
- Collaborate with orthodontics or pediatrics teams when required for specialized care.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the dental practice.
Experience
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, but we welcome candidates who are eager to learn.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
- Experience in orthodontics or pediatrics will be considered an asset.
- Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) is advantageous for those involved in restorative procedures.
