Position Description:
Alberta Health Services, Calgary Corridor, invites applications to apply for the role of Developmental Medicine Pediatrician, based out of the Alberta Children’s Hospital, with the Department of Pediatrics.
This is a full time, 1.0 FTE under the AMSHP.
This position involves ambulatory outpatient clinical activities in Developmental Pediatrics, with a focus primarily in the Autism Spectrum Disorders Diagnostic Clinic, the Cumulative Risk Diagnostic Clinic, Neuromotor clinics, and various Consultative Developmental Clinics as required. This position may include developing or providing Developmental Pediatrics consultation to established or recent outreach sites, such as the Community
Outreach in Pediatrics and Education (COPE) program or developing collaborative workflow with community pediatricians to assist the diagnosis and management of individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions within their community practices.
The successful candidate will join a group of 8 specialist physicians within the Section of Developmental Pediatrics. This position comes with an expectation to contribute to on-call services provided by the Section of Developmental Pediatrics (which is minimal and does not generally require in-hospital attendance). The Section of Developmental Pediatrics is based at the Alberta Children's Hospital and the Child Development Centre in
Calgary, Alberta, and provides outpatient clinical assessment and management to patients with complex neurodevelopmental conditions.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have the following qualifications: MD, Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent)
in Pediatrics and Developmental Pediatrics The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Must read, write, and speak English.
