Director of Advancement and Communications

Lethbridge Family Services seeks a Director of Advancement and Communications! This senior level role is responsible to develop the resources of Lethbridge Family Services by raising the profile of LFS in the community through advocacy, donor & media relations, nurturing funder relationships, and planning and delivering signature events. This role also supports program-level funding proposals and facilitates grant proposals.

The Advancement and Communications director:

- works with the CEO to establish resource development priorities and strategies,
- coordinates with the Director of Finance to establish annual revenue generation targets for LFS,
- establishes and carries out a long-term strategy to develop and nurture relationships between LFS and the community,
- provides supervision and support to the Advancement and Communications team,
- cultivates, develops, and maintains relationships with donors,
- provides media interviews and maintains media relationships on behalf of LFS,
- facilitates, edits, and writes grant proposals, and
- regularly conducts research and analyzes data to contribute to the strategic direction of LFS.

Required skills and qualifications:

- a related post-secondary degree,
- a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field,
- a proven record of success in raising funds for non-profit organizations,




- experience with media and donor relations,
- experience in grant application processes and writing applications, and
- experience with event organization and the ability to deliver presentations to diverse groups.

All new employees must provide a police information check and vulnerable sector check dated not less than 90 days prior to the date of hire. Hours: Regular Full-Time – Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm
