WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Developtheoffering,action planand budget for banquets, meetings andevents, aswellasfoodandbeverageoperations, toensureprofitabilityandsmoothoperations.
- Participatein thehotel’sannualstrategicplanningmeetingwiththe leadershipteam.
- Recruit,welcome, train, coach anddevelopdepartmentemployees,whileeffectivelymanagingperformance.
- Planstaffingneedsandprovidetheteamwithasafeandenjoyableworkenvironmentthroughregularcommunication,includingleadingmeetings andcollaboratingwithotherdepartments, aswellasthrougheffectiveinventoryandequipmentmanagement.
- Ensurequalityandmaintainstandardsrelatedto production, service andguestsatisfaction.
- Overseebothservice and production as oneunifiedteam.




- Maintainan active and visiblepresenceon thefloorto support theteam,ensuresmoothservice andrespondquicklywhenoperationalneedsarise.
- Take an activeroleinoperationsduringpeakperiods,eventsand key service times.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

- A minimum of fiveyearsofexperienceinamanagementrole.
- Strongskillsineventplanning andenhancingserviceofferings,alongwithexcellent time andresourcemanagementabilities.
- Anoutgoingpersonalityand an attitudethatisbothdynamicandprofessional.
- Ademonstratedabilityto lead and supportteamsthroughawiderange of situations.
- A hands-on leadership style,withagenuinedesiretobepresentwiththeteamandactivelycontributetooperations.
- Knowledge and application ofemploymentstandards, basichealthandsafetyprinciples, andfoodhygieneandsanitationrequirements.
- Strong leadershipabilitiesand excellent communicationskills.
- Availabilitytoworka flexibleschedule,includingeveningsand weekends,basedonoperationalandeventneeds.
- Bilingualismisconsideredan asset due to the nature of theroleand interactionswithEnglish-speakingcolleagues,partnersor clientsacrossCanada.
