Company Description Trico Centre for Family Wellness is a community-owned, not-for-profit multi-sport facility serving over 30 south Calgary communities. The centre features a fitness facility with a three-lane running track, two NHL-sized arenas, an aquatics centre, a gymnasium, on-site child care, and multiple multi-purpose rooms.

Role Description The Duty Manager is a part-time, on-site role based at Trico Centre for Family Wellness in Calgary, AB. This role oversees the daily operations of the facility during assigned shifts, including opening and closing procedures, monitoring activity areas, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for all visitors.
The Duty
Manager responds to customer inquiries and concerns, supports front-line team members, and coordinates with various departments to maintain service standards. Day-to-day tasks include supervising facility usage, assisting with incident response and reporting, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols, and supporting program and event logistics as needed.

Manager also helps maintain cleanliness and presentation standards, ensures equipment and spaces are ready for scheduled activities, and contributes to a positive, community-focused atmosphere.
Qualifications
Solid customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patrons, tenants, and team members.
Experience in facility operations, recreation, hospitality, or a similar environment, including basic understanding of safety and emergency procedures.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including shift supervision, decision-making under pressure, and supporting a diverse frontline team.
Solid organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and stakeholder needs during busy shifts.
Ability to work on-site in Calgary, AB, mostly weekends and some evenings, and to perform light physical tasks related to facility upkeep.
Familiarity with community or not-for-profit settings, and an interest in health, wellness, and recreation programming is an asset.
Basic computer skills for using scheduling, incident reporting, and communication tools; prior experience with facility management software and Microsoft Office is an advantage.
Relevant education or training in recreation management, sports administration, hospitality, or a related field is considered beneficial.
