Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks equipped with DZ licenses to transport goods between warehouses, distribution centers, and customer sites
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment, ensuring proper handling of all items
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of vehicles to confirm safety, maintenance, and compliance with transportation regulations
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during deliveries and pickups
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle inspections for compliance purposes
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, delays, or issues encountered on routes
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks when necessary to support loading/unloading processes
Skills
- Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean driving record and proven experience in commercial driving
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading activities
- Solid knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial vehicle operation
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines consistently
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and manual handling tasks as needed
