Position: Level 1 and 2 Early Childhood Educators : Tiny Stars Daycare - Grande Prairie, AB

Tiny Stars Daycare is seeking compassionate and enthusiastic Level 1 and 2 Early Childhood Educators to join our dedicated team of regular staff.

As an essential member of our daycare, you will be responsible for providing quality care, fostering children's development, and maintaining a secure and engaging environment.

Responsibilities:

Child Care and Supervision:

Provide attentive and nurturing care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Monitor and supervise children during playtime, mealtime, and nap time to maintain a secure and supportive environment.

Curriculum Implementation:

Assist in implementing the daycare's curriculum by engaging children in various educational and recreational activities.

Foster a love for learning through play-based experiences, storytelling, arts and crafts, music, and movement.

Support children in developing important skills such as problem-solving, communication, and cooperation.

Health and Safety:

Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Assist with meal and snack preparation,



ensuring nutritional requirements and dietary restrictions are met.

Monitor children for any signs of illness or injury, promptly addressing and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff.

Communication and Collaboration:

Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians, sharing updates on their child's progress and well-being.

Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive environment for all children.

Contribute to team meetings and training sessions, actively participating in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

For Level 1: A minimum of a high school diploma and a recognized certification in early childhood education (or working towards certification).

For Level 2: A recognized certification in early childhood education or equivalent qualification.

Previous experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting is preferred.

Knowledge of child development principles and an understanding of age-appropriate teaching methods.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.

Enthusiasm, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth.
