Blackberry Lane Children’s Centre, located on beautiful Denman Island, is hiring! We are looking for Part-Time or Full-Time ECEs and ECEAs to come play, learn, and grow with us at Blackberry Lane. Children's Center is a small, community oriented centre where children explore, friendships bloom and imaginations soar. Our centre is a warm, joyful space, purpose-built in 2021, where children thrive and educators are valued. Join our collaborative team and help us nurture young minds in alignment with our mission, vision, and core values. About Blackberry Lane: We currently run 3 Multi-Age Programs. We believe in small groups, big adventures, and strong relationships — and we operate with enhanced staffing ratios to ensure a supported work workplace . Additional Qualifications:

- A current ECE or ECEA Certification
- Experience leading groups of children ages 0-12
- Knowledge of the BC Early Learning Framework and BC Child Care Licensing Regulations
- A valid First Aid Certificate
- pro active communication skills and a team player




- Passion for outdoor learning and community driven

The Successful candidate will be required to provide 2 satisfactory references and complete a Criminal Record check. ABOUT THE POSITION:

- Permanent position
- Full-time or Part-time
- $25 per hour starting wage for ECE’S
- $6/hour additional Early Childhood Educator Wage Enhancement (ECEWE) for ECEs
- Schedule: Monday to Friday , excluding stat holidays
- Paid Professional Development
- 4% annual Vacation Pay

Our location on Denman Island in the Comox Valley, B.C. requires that applicants have secure housing on Denman Island or have reliable transportation to and from the Buckley Bay ferry terminal as the BC Transit system does not have a schedule that aligns with the required ferries.
