Oracle EBS R12.2 Finance Architect

Location: Remote, Canada

Duration: 3 months (extension based on business confirmation)

Rate: CAD 50/hr + HST

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS R12.2 Finance Architect to lead the design, governance, and enhancement of the Oracle Financials landscape. The role will serve as the Finance technology lead across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, e-Business Tax, and Subledger Accounting.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Oracle Financials while demonstrating robust understanding of finance integration points with Procurement, Inventory, Cost Management, and broader Supply Chain processes. This is primarily a Finance Architect role with responsibility for ensuring seamless financial transaction flow across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own solution architecture for Oracle EBS R12.2 Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, EBTax, SLA).
- Lead design workshops with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, and Business stakeholders.
- Architect and govern end-to-end Finance processes including Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and Order-to-Cash (O2C).
- Define and review RICE components, integrations, extensions, and reporting solutions.
- Ensure seamless integration between Oracle Financials and SCM modules such as Purchasing, Inventory, Cost Management, and Order Management.
- Establish standards for chart of accounts, financial controls, master data, and accounting event flows.
- Partner with Security and Audit teams to ensure SOX compliance, segregation of duties, and audit readiness.
- Provide architectural oversight for enhancements,



upgrades, regulatory initiatives, and transformation programs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Finance leadership, Controllers, and Business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

- Experienced Oracle E-Business Suite experience with hands on in Oracle R12/R12.2 Financials architecture.
- Deep expertise in GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management, eBTax, and Subledger Accounting.
- Strong understanding of Oracle Financials data model, accounting flows, and multi-org/multi-ledger environments.
- Experience designing Finance solutions integrated with Procurement, Inventory, Cost Management, and Supply Chain processes.
- Strong knowledge of RICE components, APIs, interfaces, XML Publisher, Workflow, and PL/SQL.
- Experience with SOX controls, audit requirements, and Finance governance.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Oracle Fusion Financials and EBS-to-Fusion migration initiatives.
- Understanding of Inventory Accounting, Costing, and Supply Chain financial integration.
- Experience with Vertex, OneSource, Oracle BI, Power BI, or Tableau.
- TOGAF, Oracle, or PMP certifications.
- Experience supporting global multi-entity and multi-currency organizations.

Ideal Candidate Profile: A seasoned Finance Architect with deep Oracle Financials expertise who can effectively bridge Finance and Supply Chain processes, ensuring accurate accounting, strong financial controls, and scalable enterprise architecture. This is not an SCM Architect role, but the candidate should have sufficient SCM integration knowledge to support Finance-led transformation initiatives.
