Arbutus Montessori is seeking passionate and dedicated educators to join our vibrant early childhood education community starting Setpember 1, 2026. As a Montessori teacher at Arbutus Montessori, you will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing environment that promotes independence, curiosity, and a love of learning among young children. Our ideal candidates are committed to providing high-quality education aligned with Montessori principles and are eager to support the developmental needs of each student.

Duties

- Design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons based on Montessori curriculum standards.

- Observe and assess individual student progress to tailor learning activities that meet their unique needs.

- Maintain a prepared environment that encourages exploration, independence, and respect for children’s natural development.

- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a cooperative educational community.

- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care at all times.





- Support children's social-emotional growth through respectful guidance and modeling appropriate behaviors.

Experience

- Prior experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.

- Familiarity with Montessori teaching methods or certification is highly desirable but not required; training opportunities are available for committed candidates.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.

- A genuine passion for early childhood education and child development is necessary.

- Must demonstrate patience, creativity, and adaptability in a dynamic classroom environment.

- Previous experience working with diverse learners will be considered an asset.
