JOB CONTEXT

JOB SUMMARY - PRIMARY FOCUS The EIT position will be responsible for the coordination of resources, equipment, and materials from the initiation of a project to its completion. This position will track each job throughout its lifecycle to ensure all the criteria is being followed and that critical information is shared among various team members.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

- Communicate clearly with own forces, owner, client, consultant, regulatory agencies and other contractors.
- Respond to design/build and construction requests.
- Expedite preparation, delivery and approval of required shop drawings.
- Review contract documents.
- Ensure material data is readily available and updated.
- Procure raw material various vendors
- Coordinate the shipping of raw material and the finished project
- Quote on tender packages with other team members
- Create project schedules that include material estimates and manpower needs to be submitted to management
- Maintain standard procedures for all estimating work

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Experience with AutoCad/Solidworks required
- Experience working within a construction organization considered an asset.
- 1-3 years previous project coordination experience considered an asset
- Technical knowledge of welding, steel fabrication, and the manufacturing process
- Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to work under pressure and on tight deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Current Class 5 Drivers License
- Must be fluent in English
