- ONE (1) FULL-TIME POSITION (35 HOURS/WEEK); OR
- TWO (2) PART-TIME POSITIONS (17.5 HOURS/WEEK EACH, WITH SCHEDULING FLEXIBILITY)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Elder/Knowledge Keeper embodies deeply respected, community-recognized wisdom and provides guidance, mentorship, healing, and spiritual support to the Agency and the communities we serve. Acting as a cultural bridge, they share traditional teachings, facilitate ceremonies, and foster culturally safe, inclusive, and supportive environments grounded in Indigenous values and ways of knowing.

In collaboration with community Elders, cultural practitioners, and the Cultural Services team, the Elder/Knowledge Keeper develops, promotes, and supports culturally relevant and locally accepted practices that honour, preserve, and strengthen the traditions of member First Nations and Indigenous peoples. Through this work,



they help cultivate cultural identity, belonging, resilience, and connection for individuals, families, and communities.

The Elder/Knowledge Keeper promotes cultural understanding by providing education and training to Agency staff and external partners, sharing Indigenous values, beliefs, traditions, and perspectives that strengthen culturally responsive practices and support the well-being of individuals, families, and communities. STARTING SALARY RANGE:

$81,765.30 - $100,148.27, depending on qualifications and experience.
