- As the Engineering Manager, you will lead the team’s engineering function and deliver on ambitious 0-1 roadmaps

- Manage engineers to design, develop, and deliver scalable architecture, intelligent personalization, and targeted experiences for a range of customer segments

- Partner with product and design stakeholders to prioritize the roadmap and translate the company’s strategic ambitions into actionable OKRs

- Hire and grow the engineering team, recruiting and onboarding experienced engineers

- Experience recruiting and growing engineering teams from the ground up

- 10+ years’ of software engineering experience

- Strong partnership skills with product and design stakeholders — communicating technical tradeoffs and applying product judgment to reach the best customer outcomes

- Expertise in at least one general application-development language (Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, etc.), with a preference for React/React Native familiarity given Home’s front-end surface

- Ability to design secure, scalable, performant software and give constructive feedback on team designs

- 3+ years’ experience in an engineering leadership role, with a track record managing small teams and delivering complex, full-stack / front-end-heavy projects

- Demonstrated aptitude and judgment for applying AI to developer productivity and, ideally, product features — including enabling protected AI tool adoption on the team
