Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic English Teacher to inspire and educate students across various age groups and skill levels. In this role, you will create engaging lesson plans, foster a positive learning environment, and support students in developing their language skills. Duties
- Develop and deliver comprehensive English language lessons tailored to diverse student needs, including early childhood education and special education settings
- Incorporate bilingual instruction when applicable, especially in French or other languages, to enhance understanding and engagement
- Utilize classroom experience and teaching techniques to foster active participation and facilitate learning
- Assess student progress regularly through assignments, quizzes, and informal evaluations; adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student development using Microsoft Office tools or other educational software
- Support students with disabilities or special needs by adapting lessons and employing inclusive teaching practices
- Provide tutoring sessions outside regular class hours to reinforce learning objectives and address individual challenges
Skills
- Proficiency in English language instruction with excellent writing and communication skills
- Bilingual abilities, especially in French or other relevant languages, are highly desirable
- Strong classroom management skills with experience working with children and young learners
- Knowledge of math concepts to integrate cross-disciplinary lessons when appropriate
- Exceptional organizational skills for lesson planning, record keeping, and time management
- Familiarity with computer skills including Microsoft Office applications for administrative tasks and lesson materials creation
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education environments
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for early childhood education settings and diverse learning styles
- Effective tutoring techniques combined with excellent communication skills to motivate students
- Understanding of educational best practices related to classroom experience, time management, and curriculum development
