Job Purpose & Responsibilities

This is a permanent casual position with the Community Services Department. Reporting to the Community Event Programmer, this position is responsible for:

- Assisting with event setup, operations, and tear down for City special events, such as civic events, concerts, corporate functions, etc.
- Providing support for special events and subsequent facility transitions resulting from special event bookings.
- Providing a friendly and accommodating staff presence for the event organizers using City facilities and equipment.
- Ensuring the facility is ready for the event and cleaned up appropriately for the following day’s operations as needed.

Qualifications & Competencies

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A background in fitness/sports is preferred.




- Standard First Aid certification/CPR.
- The selected candidate must be physically capable of constant and repetitive lifting of 45 pounds.

More Details

The wage for this position is $21.33 per hour, with daytime and evening avaliability through the week and weekend on an as needed basis.This position will include some late night special event work to deliver the necessary support to the clients at the facility. This position is within the scope of AUPE Local 118/016, and as such you will be required to adhere to articles contained within the Collective Agreement.
