Canada’s Leadership Program for Life Sciences
Built for experienced, mid‑career executives and emerging C‑suite leaders who want to scale their impact in Canada’s life sciences sector. Join a supportive network of 150 alumni from 100+ organizations across Canada. Cohort IX is now accepting applications.
Program Overview
Cohort IX runs from August 2026 to February 2027, including three multi‑day in‑person workshops across Canada, four one‑hour virtual meetings, five hours of executive coaching, short online modules, capstone presentations, and a graduation celebration.
Learning Objectives
- Gain an accurate picture of personal preferences, strengths, and development needs to improve leadership effectiveness.
- Recognize the importance of and work to create and sustain Direction‑Alignment‑Commitment (DAC) within organizations for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Improve awareness of how to effectively work across internal and external boundaries in service of a higher vision or goal.
- Communicate more effectively, including better constructing and delivering feedback to manage behaviour.
- Learn the essentials of successful change management, better recognizing barriers and accelerators of change projects.
- Build relationships and networks with leaders in the Canadian life sciences ecosystem that last beyond the formal learning experience.
How You Learn
The program utilizes a renowned curriculum, expert facilitation, and certified executive coaches provided by the Center for Creative Leadership.
Note: currently offered only in English.
Assessments and Simulations
Personal and team‑focused assessments, as well as immersive simulations, draw attention to personal preferences, strengths, and development needs or areas for organizational improvement.
Executive Coaching
Coaches help guide participants in their 360 assessment, goal‑setting, integrating learnings into their own experiences,
and in planning ongoing steps to support their development and advance their key leadership challenge.
Accountability Group
Peer groups will be formed to provide participants a vehicle to gain broader perspectives on issues they are experiencing, add depth to feedback and key ideas, and learn from fellow leaders with comparable real‑world experiences and familiar challenges.
Curated Networking
Participants benefit from curated networking with industry leaders and Executive Institute alumni and select opportunities to attend key national life sciences events through adMare’s ecosystem partnerships—designed to build recent connections, deepen relationships, and strengthen networks across the Canadian life sciences ecosystem.
Who Should Take Part
- Senior executives working in life sciences companies across Canada.
- Mid‑career leaders (minimum 10 years’ experience), including those in C‑suite, VP, General Manager, Senior Director, Director roles.
Approximately 20 participants per year.
Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
The adMare Executive Institute seeks to better support equity, diversity, and inclusion in the Canadian life sciences sector, creating opportunities for equity‑deserving groups and addressing gender disparity in leadership positions. 55% of participants across previous seven cohorts are women.
Costs
$6,000 program fee plus taxes and travel and accommodations for in‑person workshops.
Travel costs per participant will vary but are estimated to range from $5,000 to $8,000.
Application Process
Applications open from June 16 to July 24, 2026.
Selected participants will be notified by July 31 and must provide written confirmation of enrollment by August 7, 2026. The program fee is due upon acceptance.
