Role Description The Experienced Bookkeeper with QBO Hands on Knowledge is a full-time, on-site role based in North York, ON. The position involves maintaining accurate day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online, including posting journal entries, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, and managing accounts payable and receivable. The role includes assisting with the preparation of financial statements, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and ensuring that records comply with relevant accounting standards and firm policies.





The bookkeeper will collaborate with accountants and partners on client engagements, respond to client inquiries, and provide timely updates and reports. The role also requires continuous organization of financial data, maintaining secure records, and contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

Strong bookkeeping skills, including hands-on experience with day-to-day transaction recording and account reconciliations.

Ability to prepare and support the preparation of financial statements and related schedules.

Proficiency with accounting software, specifically QuickBooks Online (QBO), and comfort working with other digital tools.

Knowledge of finance and accounting principles, including accurate creation and posting of journal entries.

Relevant education in accounting, finance, or a related field; skilled bookkeeping or accounting certification is an asset.

Experience in public practice or multi-client environments, preferably with small and medium-sized businesses.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
