Part time Union CUPE 855 Outside Open To Internal/External Applicant(s) Date Of Posting 31/07/2026 Closing Date 08/08/2026 Duration (if Temporary) N/A Job Title Facility Maintenance Operator II, Community Services 2026 Wage $24.17 (2026) Reports To Recreation Complex Services Supervisor; or, Area Supervisor Department Community Services Location South Area, as assigned (Manvers and Oakwood Arenas) Hours Up to 24 hours per week; includes day, afternoon, evening and weekend hours, from September to March Assist in the operation and maintenance of community centres and arenas Ice re-surfacing and maintenance Cleaning of washrooms and building Assist in the collection of facility revenue Perform other related duties as assigned Skills/ Education Required Previous experience in arenas/ice operations or willingness and ability to learn Mechanical aptitude Experience with preventive maintenance of various types of equipment preferred Excellent customer-service,



effective oral communication and solid interpersonal skills to deal with members of the public and staff First Aid and CPR preferred Possess and maintain a valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence Upon a conditional offer of employment, an acceptable Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search, will be required Applicants must be prepared for skill testing.
