This position demands proficiency in financial forecasting, compliance accounting, and the management of regulatory obligations. You’ll serve as the liaison with Corporate Accounting while ensuring accurate financial records and analysis support compliance programs. Key Responsibilities:

- Account for low carbon compliance credits per accounting standards
- Prepare and report journal entries accurately
- Maintain compliance credit inventories and balance sheet accounts
- Coordinate with Corporate Accounting on financial reporting
- Monitor market conditions impacting credit pricing Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- CPA or progress toward designation
- 3-5 years of relevant finance experience
- Bilingual in French and English
- Proficient in Excel, SAP, and Power Query Excel in financial control and compliance for Valero’s low carbon initiatives in Montreal.
